Henkel Innovation Challenge
  • "Vini, Vidi, Innovate", a team of 4th-year ESADE students on the Bachelor  and Master in Business Administration - BBA programme, has won the first edition of the Henkel Innovation Challenge, an international competition launched by Henkel to promote innovation in products and concepts related to the Laundry / Home Care sector.

    With the launch of a product line branded "Wink", the ESADE team (Mireia Armengol Alfonso, Óscar Batista Mazurca and Borja Soler) invented a housekeeping robot networked with the entire house and which functions with capsules of different aromas bought on-line.

    This is the first time Henkel has held an international innovation award aimed at students. The Henkel Innovation Challenge is a marketing competition in which participants have to imagine homes in the year 2050 and with which products Henkel might use to respond to consumer needs in that year.

    Each 3-person team had to present the most creative ideas possible. Fifty teams registered in Spain but only eleven reached the national final, in which "Vini, Vidi, Innovate" came first. As a result, the ESADE representatives went onto and eventually won the international final, competing against students from Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and Italy.
